PAYMENTS: For all bookings we require credit/debit card details to guarantee payment. No money will be taken from this account at the time of booking. You will be required to pay the full amount during your stay. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or debit/credit card. We will send you an email or letter confirming the booking and letting you know what the total payment required, will be.

CANCELLATIONS: If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. For cancellations made up to 7 days before your booking you will not be liable for payment. The following charges apply for late cancellations: 50% of the cost of the stay within 7 days and 100% of the cost of the stay within 48 hours of the arrival date. Should any guest alter their booking and leave early, or fail to take up their booking they will still be liable for the full cost of the stay. May we please draw your attention to the fact that a confirmed booking, either written OR verbal, constitutes a binding contract.

NON AVAILABILITY: We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund

DAMAGES AND BREAKAGES: Please take care in our home. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages (accidents do happen after all), but we may charge your Debit/Credit card with the cost for repair, making good or cleaning, if the damage or breakage is significant, and we may make an additional charge of £25 if you did not report this.

LIABILITY: We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

ARRIVAL: Your accommodation will be available to you from 4pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. Please let us know if you plan to arrive after 7.00pm. If you are staying with us for a wedding or the races for instance and wish to arrive before 4pm please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

DEPARTURE: Please be ready to leave your accommodation by 10.30am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Your bill for the accommodation and any extras or services taken during your stay is payable on departure



This Privacy notice explains how we at The Gallery Bed and Breakfast use any information we collect about you.


When you make a booking with us we collect the names of all the guests who will be staying, the home address, email address and telephone number of the person making the booking. We also collect a debit or credit card number to take a payment equivalent of the cost of the first night’s stay if you cancel within 48 hours of arrival or fail to show up.


We use your home address as part of the card payment processing to validate the card. We use your email address to send you confirmation of the booking and an email with more details on how to find us and other information you may find useful for your stay. We will not use your telephone number to contact you unless it is for an emergency and/or we are unable to contact you by email.


If you make a booking online, the personal and debit/credit card data you supply us, as part of the booking process, is stored securely on a third party system, either InnStyle or Booking.com. If you make a booking by telephone the personal and credit/debit card data is securely locked away.

Neither we nor InnStyle or Booking.com will share your information with any third party unless there is a legal reason for doing so.
